How to get to Olympia
We are glad to be your hosts at Olympia! Olympia lies about 300 km southwest from Athens, but with the right preparations it is easy to reach. Below we offer a guide on how to reach Olympia by either car, train and/or bus.
By Car
1. Renting a Car. Renting a Car. Upon arriving at Athens International Airport, you can rent a car from one of the rental agencies located within the airport terminals. Make sure to have your driver's license, passport, and any other required documentation.
2. Driving Directions. From the airport, take the Attiki Odos highway (E94) towards Elefsina. Follow signs for Corinth/Patras and after reaching Patras follow the direction Pyrgos. From Pyrgos, follow signs for Olympia.
3. Travel Time. The drive from Athens International Airport to Olympia typically takes around 3 to 4 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions.
By Bus
1. Bus Terminal. Bus Terminal. Upon exiting the arrivals area at Athens International Airport, head to the designated bus terminal located near the airport's main entrance. Take the Bus X93 to the Station of Regional Busses Kifissos.Then take the Regional Bus to Pyrgos/Olympia. Consult ticket prices and bus plans here (https://ktelileias.gr).
4. Travel Time. The bus journey from Athens International Airport to Olympia can take approximately 4 to 5 hours, depending on traffic and any intermediate stops.
